Harrison & Hetherington Ltd conducted the autumn
sale of Whitebred Shorthorn Bulls and Females on behalf
of members of the Whitebred Shorthorn Association on
Tuesday 4th November 2003.

Blackburn
Monty |
The judge, William Thomson, Hownam Grange, Morebattle,
Kelso. awarded the Championship to Blackburn Monty a
September 2002 bull bred and exhibited by Messrs Jackson,
Blackburn, Newcastleton. Sired by Blackburn Floyd this
bull went on to secure a bid of 4,500 gns. and travels
to join the Highland herd of Adrian Wheelwright, Longley
Farm, Logie, Forres, Morayshire.
The Reserve Championship was awarded to Barlaes Duke, an August 2001 bull bred
and exhibited by R & M Fergusson, Barlaes, Dalry, Castle Douglas. sired
by Glendearg Monarch this bull went on to realise 1,400 gns. Writing this cheque
Dunlossit Estate, Ballygrant, Isle of Islay.
Third prize bull Raeburnfoot Ajax from Messrs Walker, Raeburnfoot, Eskdalemuir,
Langholm realised 1,200 gns and goes south to Mr GT Medland, Wilminstone Hall,
Tavistock, Devon. Who also paid 1,400gns for Parton Handyman an April 2002
bull sired by Park William from Messrs Hewson, Parton Farm, Wigton.
Travelling to Reddown Farm, St Florence, Tenby, Pembrokeshire is Nether Oakshaw
Norman a January 2001 bull sired by Nether Oakshaw Rover this bull sold at
1,000gns.
The Park Melanie with her heifer calf at foot The Park Melanie 2nd was the
only female forward, she realised 800gns and joins the herd of P Kennedy-Moffat & Partners,
Lochmailing Auldgirth, Dumfries.
